We invite parents with young children to join us for the Lars von Trier exhibition Breaking Darkness. In collaboration with Kunst på Barsel, we offer a special tour for both little ones (0-2 years) and their parents through this immersive installation, where dramatic scenography creates a sensory backdrop. There is space for prams and nappy changes. We will set up a relaxation area with bean bags, where both babies and their parents can play.

Two guided tours are available, at 16:30 and 17:30, both led by Malou Solfjeld, a mother, art historian, and the founder of the Kunst på Barsel concept. For several years, Malou has been hosting well-attended tours at art institutions tailored specifically for parents on maternity leave.

I kan også få taget et fornemt portrætfoto til minde om jeres aften på slottet. Did you know that another palace once stood where Amalienborg stands today? It was called Sophie Amalienborg. It was built for Queen Sophie Amalie, who naturally named the beautiful palace after herself. At the palace, she hosted lavish parties. With inspiration from these historical balls, we invite children and adults to attend a royal evening at Amalienborg in the spirit of Queen Sophie Amalie!

In our Garden Hall, you can make your own masks for the ball. In the Gala Hall, children can try on royal costumes from our Royal Workroom at Koldinghus and dance under the chandeliers to royal music from the time of Sophie Amalie. You can also have a portrait photo taken as a memento of your night at the royal palace.

During Little Culture Night, you can visit Rosenborg Castle after hours – when the lights have been switched off! Make sure to bring a flashlight to explore the more than 400-year-old castle where Christian IV liked to spend his summers. Now, in March, Christian IV has moved out of his beloved summer castle but has left some important belongings behind. Use your flashlight to see if you can find the things Christian IV has forgot.

To visit the castle, you need to book a free time slot and bring your Culture Night Pass.

I Krigsmuseets store Kanonhal, kan du lære at skyde – med Nerf guns. Vi har stillet en skydebane klar, og her kommer du til skydetræning med Nerf guns (som skyder med ufarlige skumpatroner). Eller du kan teste hvor god du er til at kaste præcist på vores ”håndgranatbane”.
You can test your abilities on the Nerf gun shooting range and hold real weapons; from the heavy muskets to a Kalashnikov.

In the War Museum’s great Kanonhal, you can try the shooting range and learn to shoot – with Nerf guns. Nerf guns shoots with harmless foam cartridges. Or you can test your precision throwing with “grenades.”

CopenHill will be open for this special occasion, allowing you to experience the ski slope in the evening hours. While exploring the hill, you can enjoy both hot and cold drinks, as well as food and snacks from the bar

Udenfor kan du møde brand- og politifolk og komme helt tæt på brandbiler, politibiler, motorcykler, politiheste og meget af det specialudstyr, som de anvender, når de døgnet rundt er klar til at rykke ud.

Indenfor på Politimuseet er alle udstillingerne åbne. Her kan du få taget dit eget fingeraftryk, prøve en politiuniform og gå på opdagelse i den gamle politistation.

Der tages forbehold for, at alle de brand- og politifolk, som deltager i arrangementet er på arbejde. De kan blive kaldt ud til andre opgaver i løbet af aftenen. Derfor kan vi ikke garantere at de er her i hele tidsrummet. The Police Museum and Fælledvejens Fire Station Open Their Doors for a Special Event Uniting Fire and Police Services

Outside, you can meet firefighters and police officers up close and get a closer look at fire trucks, police cars, motorcycles, police horses, and much of the specialized equipment they use when responding to emergencies around the clock. Inside the Police Museum, all exhibitions will be open. Here, you can have your fingerprints taken, try on a police uniform, and explore the historic police station.

Please note that all participating fire and police personnel are on duty and may be called away for other assignments during the evening. Therefore, we cannot guarantee their presence throughout the entire event

Kom og vær med til en eventyrlig aften!This year, Den Lille Kulturnat coincides with the Jewish holiday of Purim – rich in tradition, filled with masks, costumes, and delicious food. Together, we will explore the tradition and the fairy tale-like story of Queen Esther, who saved her people from the wicked Haman.
You can create your own mask with beautiful beads and feathers or craft a noisy grogger to scare away the evil Haman!

There will be hot chocolate for the children and coffee for the adults. And the whole family can taste the traditional triangular cookies, hamantaschen.

Did you know that traditions like New Year’s and Halloween also use costumes and noise to ward off evil? Just like the masks and groggers of Purim!

Here, you’ll have the chance to design your own flower using recycled textiles and explore how flowers have been featured on everything from porcelain to textiles in a guided tour. It’s an evening where both young and old can be inspired by nature’s colorful forms, learn something new, and create together.

Join us for a creative and festive evening at Folketeatret during Den lille kulturnat. Our model is ready, so you can let your pencil flow and draw a lady in a beautiful and elaborate costume – all while enjoying music in the background. The foyer will be open, and you can purchase sausage rolls, cookies, and drinks at the bar.
The event is for both children and adults! You’ll be given drawing boards and paper, so everyone can join in. And if you’re curious to see more of the theatre’s magic, you can take a tour behind the scenes and get a glimpse of what happens backstage.

Children of all ages can become archaeologists for an evening when the Museum of Copenhagen invites you inside the Archaeological Workshop in Stormgade. Here you can help investigate the many exciting finds that the museum’s archaeologists excavate from the ground under the city’s streets and sidewalks. What colour pottery do they find most? Red, yellow, green or blue? Or with stripes, dots and flowers? Can you tell the difference between animal bones from a goat, a cow, a horse and a fish? You may have to use the microscopes to be able to see it.

Put on your blue gloves and become an archaeologist for an evening!

The event is for children of all ages in the company of their adults.

Bring your small residents and tell us where you found them. It can be a beetle, a bench-biter, a ladybug, a snail or another small resident.

Draw and tell how you think your creature in the garden would like to live. Imagine, for example, that your resident wants to move in together with others in a large wooden house with 20 rooms where your resident lives in one of the rooms.

How do you think your beetle or earthworm will live? Wonder what it has in its food cupboard? Does it bath, sleep in a bed, and speak tick language?
